Discover All The Details Of The National Electric Beetle That Preserves The Essence Of The Classic With Modern Technology

If you are a fan of the classic Beetle, you will be surprised by the Electric Beetle from Fueltech, developed in partnership with WEG. This electric Beetle preserves all the nostalgia of the original model, but with a touch of sustainable and innovative technology.

The project, resulting from the partnership with WEG, used a 76 Beetle as the base, equipped with lowered suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels, among other enhancements. The idea was to create a conversion kit from combustion cars to electric vehicles, and the Beetle served as a laboratory for the development of this kit.

The Appearance Of The Electric Beetle

On the outside, the electric Beetle maintains the classic appearance, making it hard to distinguish its motorization without the indicative stickers. Inside, the car features an advanced electric system, including a standard European charging port, compatible with public chargers.

The electrical part is managed by a power inverter, which controls the power delivery of the 67 horsepower WEG motor with 13.2 kgfm of torque. Surprisingly, this motor is water-cooled, with an efficient and modern cooling system.

One of the interesting features is the direct connection of the motor to the original four-speed gearbox, with a heavier clutch from the AP motor for safety. Despite this, the car does not need the gearbox, as the torque delivery is constant, making driving simpler and more pleasant.

Unmatched Battery Set!

The WEG electric Beetle features a 25 kWh battery set, allowing for a range of about 150 km on a full charge. The battery is installed in the fuel tank location, maintaining the same original fastening of the Beetle.

Additionally, the car has an advanced electronic management system, which controls all the electrical components of the vehicle. This system allows for adjusting the behavior of the electric motor according to need, providing a unique driving experience.

With an estimated conversion price of around R$ 100,000.00, the Fueltech electric Beetle is a viable option for those looking for an electric car with personality and style. If you are passionate about Beetles and want to contribute to a more sustainable future, this could be the perfect choice for you.
