The project, resulting from the partnership with WEG, used a 76 Beetle as the base, equipped with lowered suspension and disc brakes on all four wheels, among other enhancements. The WEG electric Beetle features a 25 kWh battery set, allowing for a range of about 150 km on a full charge. The battery is installed in the fuel tank location, maintaining the same original fastening of the Beetle.
