The Government of Ceará recently inaugurated the second unit of the Port of Pecém, which features new facilities: a new entrance gate (Gate 2), another bridge to the docks (Bridge 2), and an additional docking berth (Berth 10). The total investment for the port’s construction amounted to approximately R$ 772.8 million.

With this action, the operational potential of the port terminal extends to new initiatives. The Governor of Ceará, Camilo Santana, emphasized the need for projects like this for the state’s development. Additionally, he announced that new equipment will be delivered for the container flow, and investments are expected to be completed this year, such as the duplication of the CE-155 highway, responsible for connecting the Port of Pecém with the BR-222 highway.
“We are delivering today the result of an important investment that the state has made, funded by resources raised by the state. We will soon deliver the new road that connects the steel mill to the port. New Equipment for the Port of Pecém
