Havan started this Tuesday (26) the transport of the Statue of Liberty from Camboriú to Garibaldi, on a route over 500 km. The structure is part of a new branch of R$ 90 million, with 10,000 m², 200 formal jobs, and inauguration scheduled for June 6, in Rio Grande do Sul.

Havan started on the morning of this Tuesday (26) the transport of its Statue of Liberty from Camboriú, in Santa Catarina, to Garibaldi, in Serra Gaúcha. The piece travels more than 500 km to be part of the new megastore of the network in Rio Grande do Sul.

The inauguration of the branch is scheduled for June 6, with an investment of R$ 90 million, a built area of 10,000 m², and the creation of 200 formal jobs. The logistical operation is part of the final preparation of the unit located on the margins of BR-470, near the border with Bento Gonçalves.

Havan Statue leaves Santa Catarina heading to Serra Gaúcha

The journey of the Statue of Liberty of Havan began in Camboriú and has as its final destination the site of the new unit in Garibaldi. The interstate route passes through highways connecting Santa Catarina to Rio Grande do Sul, requiring planning due to the dimensions of the structure.

The transport draws attention because it involves the main visual symbol of the Santa Catarina network. The forecast is that the truck will arrive at the destination on the afternoon of this Wednesday (27), when the piece can move forward to the assembly stage in the store’s external area.

Once it arrives at the site, the statue will be installed on a previously prepared pedestal. The base was built in the area reserved for customer parking, within the schedule for the branch’s opening.

The movement takes place under the supervision of support teams to ensure safety during the displacement. As the structure is large, the transport requires attention to traffic and passage through the highways of the South of the country.

New megastore received an investment of R$ 90 million

The new Havan branch in Garibaldi received an investment of R$ 90 million. The enterprise was installed in a strategic area of Serra Gaúcha, along the BR-470, near the municipality of Bento Gonçalves.

The location reinforces the network’s interest in a region of strong economic circulation. Garibaldi and Bento Gonçalves are part of a hub known for tourism, commerce, industry, and regional consumer movement.

The store will have 10,000 m² of built area, with a planned space for a food court and different utility sectors. According to the company, the unit’s portfolio exceeds 350,000 registered items.

The size of the structure shows that the project is not limited to a conventional store. The branch was designed as a megastore, with broad operations and a focus on serving families and consumers from different cities in the region.

Construction boosted local civil construction

The installation of the new unit also boosted civil construction over the past few months. A project of this size requires engineering services, earthworks, structure, finishing, installations, and preparation of the external area.

The impact appears even before the doors open. During the construction phase, the enterprise already mobilized suppliers, service providers, and workers linked to the unit’s implementation.

The statue’s base, parking lot, commercial area, and internal structure are part of this set. Each stage needed to progress in a coordinated manner for the inauguration to take place at the beginning of June.

This type of private investment usually generates chain effects, involving construction, services, logistics, transportation, and operational preparation for hiring teams.

Store promises 200 formal jobs in Garibaldi

In addition to the investment in structure, the new Havan in Garibaldi was also announced with the creation of 200 formal jobs. The positions are linked to the opening of the unit and the commercial operation of the megastore.

The number carries weight for the local economy because it represents direct hiring before the inauguration. There is also an expectation of indirect positions related to services, suppliers, and activities in the surroundings.

The company also projects an increase in municipal tax revenue with the operation of the branch. In medium-sized cities, a store of this size can alter consumption flows and attract visitors from nearby municipalities.

The presence along the BR-470 also favors this movement. Road access can transform the unit into a stopping point for local residents and consumers traveling through the Serra Gaúcha.

Garibaldi enters the national expansion plan

The arrival of Havan in Garibaldi is part of the network’s expansion plan in the national territory. The company reported that it aims to reach the mark of 200 branches in operation by the end of the second semester.

The new store also coincides with the 40th anniversary of the brand’s foundation. The corporate anniversary amplifies the symbolism of the inauguration, especially as it occurs in a region where the network claims to have good public reception.

Luciano Hang, owner of Havan, highlighted that the branch was prepared as a large store, with 10,000 m² and products for the whole family. He also stated that Rio Grande do Sul has always received the company positively.

The strategy combines physical expansion, brand reinforcement, and presence in competitive regional markets. In this context, the statue functions as a visual element of network identification and as a communication piece for the new unit.

Statue becomes visual landmark of the new branch

The Statue of Liberty of Havan is used by the network as an element of immediate recognition. In Garibaldi, it will be fixed in the store’s external area and is expected to become a reference point for those passing by BR-470.

The journey of over 500 km transforms the piece into part of the inauguration narrative. Even before the store opens, the statue’s movement already serves as a sign that the operation has entered the final phase.

This type of symbol carries weight in retail because it helps differentiate the store in the urban and road landscape. Instead of relying solely on the facade, the branch gains a visual element directly associated with the brand.

In the case of Garibaldi, the installation reinforces the idea of a mega store and increases the visibility of the enterprise in a region with significant tourist and economic flow.

Opening should strengthen retail in Serra Gaúcha

With the opening scheduled for June 6, the new Havan unit arrives in Garibaldi with high investment, job creation, and a large-scale structure. The statue that came from Santa Catarina completes the visual ensemble of the branch.

The operation brings together elements that usually attract regional attention: million-dollar construction, relocation of a giant structure, job openings, and installation at a strategic point on BR-470. The expectation is that the store will attract consumers from Garibaldi, Bento Gonçalves, and nearby cities.

For the municipality, the enterprise may represent an increase in commercial flow and greater circulation of people in the region. For the network, it marks another stage of the national expansion plan in a symbolic year of 40 years.

And you, do you think a megastore of this size strengthens regional commerce or could it increase competition with small local retailers? Share your opinion.
