The New Electric Motorcycle From Honda Launched In Europe Is The First To Use The New System From The Manufacturer, Called Honda Mobile Power Pack:
Honda Motor Europe has officially presented the Honda EM1 e:2023, its first two-wheeled electric vehicle aimed at the European market. The letters EM, which are part of the model name, stand for “Electric Moped”. In addition, the EM1 e:2023 is the first two-wheeled electric motorcycle from Honda to utilize the new interchangeable Honda Mobile Power Pack (HMPP) in the European market, according to Insideevs.
The electric motorcycle EM1 e:2023 launched in Europe is equipped with a 1.7 kW (2.3 hp) motor and 90 Nm, mounted in the hub, providing efficient performance. The approved range of the electric motorcycle is 41.3 km, but with Eco mode activated, this distance can be extended to 48 km. The top speed achieved by the EM1 e:2023 electric motorcycle is 45 km/h. It is important to note that the electric vehicle launched in Europe is classified as an electric motorcycle, explaining these modest figures. However, Honda is focusing its efforts on developing interchangeable batteries for use in various brand products.
In addition to the innovation in electric mobility, Honda Motor Europe is also taking a different approach by offering the EM1 e:2023 in European countries. Instead of just offering direct sales, the company plans to make leasing, rental, and/or subscription schemes available, according to market needs. When renting, leasing, or subscribing to an EM1 e:, the motorcyclist will also receive the HMPP and a charger, allowing the battery to be kept charged at home, school, or work.
