Chinese model combines rare battery in phones, high-brightness screen, and advanced resistance in a relatively light body, targeting users who prioritize autonomy without giving up modern features, 5G connectivity, and competitive pricing in the Asian market.
Officially launched by Honor in China on June 22, 2026, the Honor X80 Pro Max bets on high autonomy, robust construction, and high-brightness screen to compete among mid-range phones with out-of-standard specifications.
In the configuration presented by the manufacturer, the device features a typical 11,000 mAh battery, fast charging of 90 W, IP69K certification against water and dust, and an initial promotional price of 1,699 yuan in the Chinese market.
According to Honor, the battery has a typical capacity of 11,000 mAh and a nominal value of 10,690 mAh, a common difference in smartphone spec sheets due to the criteria used in energy measurement.

Until June 22, 2026, according to the company, this was the largest typical battery capacity among commercially launched smartphones, a fact that helps explain the emphasis given to the model in the official presentation.
11,000 mAh battery is the main attraction
In the energy set, the X80 Pro Max stands out by combining a capacity well above the market average with a fast wired charging solution, without abandoning features aimed at everyday use.
In addition to the 90 W recharge, the device offers 27 W reverse charging via the USB-C port, a function that allows transferring energy to accessories and other compatible devices when no outlet is available.
To support this proposal, Honor states that the smartphone uses the fourth generation of the Qinghai Lake battery, a technology associated with the attempt to extend autonomy without turning the device into an excessively thick or heavy product.
Even with the large capacity battery, the spec sheet indicates 203 grams of weight and 8.08 mm of thickness, numbers that keep the device far from the appearance of a power bank adapted to a phone.
In an autonomy test conducted between June 8 and 9, 2026, in Turpan, Xinjiang region, China, the manufacturer subjected the device to continuous streaming until the charge was depleted.
In this test disclosed by Honor, the X80 Pro Max achieved 26 hours, 8 minutes, and 34 seconds of continuous use, a result used by the brand to reinforce the proposal of long duration away from the outlet.
6.8-inch AMOLED Screen Reaches 10,000 nits
On the front, the Honor X80 Pro Max uses a 6.8-inch LTPS AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1,280 x 2,788 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Among the panel’s features, the peak brightness of up to 10,000 nits stands out as one of the most striking numbers, although Honor itself states that this level depends on the playback of compatible HDR content.
This observation matters because the announced maximum value does not mean that the entire screen operates continuously at this level during regular use, as peak brightness usually varies according to content, environment, and real viewing conditions.
In the manufacturer’s specifications, the 10,000 nits are triggered in specific HDR scenarios, which preserves the technical data without turning the measurement into a permanent promise for any application or situation.
Integrated into the display, the front camera appears in a centered hole and features an 8 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, a simple solution for video calls, selfies, and image-based unlocking.
On the back, Honor adopted a more straightforward setup, consisting of a single main camera of 50 MP, f/1.88 aperture, optical image stabilization, and LED flash for capturing in different lighting conditions.
Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Android 16 Power the Phone
Inside, the Honor X80 Pro Max is equipped with the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, a Qualcomm platform positioned in the mid-range segment and used to balance performance, connectivity, and energy consumption.
The memory options include versions with 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, accompanied by 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB of internal storage, with no official mention of expansion via card.
In terms of software, the device runs Android 16 under the MagicOS 10 interface, a combination that brings together the latest system base with proprietary features developed by Honor for its phones.
The connectivity package includes 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, GPS, and USB-C 2.0, in addition to Link Turbo X, a feature mentioned in the technical sheet for network acceleration and management.
For biometrics, Honor has placed an optical fingerprint reader under the screen in the X80 Pro Max, a common solution in phones with AMOLED panels aimed at quick unlocking without a dedicated physical button.
In terms of construction, the IP69K certification reinforces resistance against dust and high-pressure water jets, while the manufacturer also mentions laboratory tests with IP68 and IP69 standards under controlled conditions.
Price of Honor X80 Pro Max Starts Below 2,000 Yuan
The durability strategy also appears in features associated with drop protection, water resistance, and a screen replacement program offered by the manufacturer under specific conditions in the Chinese market.
According to the rules cited by Honor, the replacement benefit needs to be activated through the My Honor app within the first month after purchase, which limits the use of the service to the timeframe provided by the company.
Announced in the colors black, orange, red, and Moon Shadow, the Honor X80 Pro Max debuts with a varied look for different consumer profiles, maintaining the same technical proposal in the released versions.
In the entry-level version, with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, the official price reported by Ubergizmo is 1,999 yuan, with a promotional launch offer of 1,699 yuan.
In its own statement, Honor indicated a subsidized price starting at 1,699.15 yuan, but did not present an official forecast for the arrival of the X80 Pro Max in other markets outside China.
As of publication, confirmed availability remains restricted to the Chinese market, where the device becomes part of the X line with a focus on extreme battery life, high resistance, and competitive pricing within the category.
