The IBGE Has Just Announced the Organizing Institution for the Public Competitive Exam for High School for the IBGE Census. There Are Thousands of Positions for the Role of Censitary Agent, Coder, Among Others.
The organizing institution for the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) Census for the position of Censitary Mapping Agent has been published. According to the published bidding waiver extract, the National Institute of Selection and Competitions (Selecon) has been chosen. The new competitive exam for the 2023 high school census is expected to have over 8 thousand positions in total for the roles of Coder, Collection and Quality Supervisor, Telephone Research Agent, Mapping Censitary Agent, Research and Mapping Agent, and Research Supervisor.

The more than 8 thousand positions in the high school competitive exam for the IBGE census are for the following roles:
Coder (120 Positions)
High school education required. Responsible for evaluating internal or external documentation for the purpose of enabling the coding of questions on the survey applied in the Demographic Census, issuing reports, participating in specific training conducted by IBGE technicians, applying codes, and reviewing coding, among others.

Censitary Mapping Agent (148)

Responsible for recording data and conducting statistical surveys aimed at research companies and government agencies, such as IBGE. In addition to fieldwork, the Research and Mapping Agent may also be assigned to perform tasks within IBGE.
Collection and Quality Supervisor (806)
Responsible for organizing, executing, and planning activities established in IBGE’s organizational chart, managing the work developed at collection agencies according to the organizational chart.
Telephone Research Agent (276)
Responsible for conducting telephone surveys, calling the population with the aim of collecting data necessary for IBGE’s ongoing surveys.
Research Supervisor (49)
Responsible for additional tasks related to assisting in the planning and execution of research work, supervising, monitoring, and executing the activities assigned to them at IBGE.
What Are the Salaries Offered by IBGE?
The official document announcing Selecon as the responsible institution for the 2023 high school census competitive exam for the Censitary Mapping Agent was published in the Official Federal Gazette (DOU) this Wednesday (31).
The salary for the positions has not yet been disclosed by IBGE; however, following the values from the last selection process, salaries will range from R$ 600 to R$ 5,100. In addition to the salary, successful candidates will also receive benefits such as meal allowance, transportation allowance, vacation, preschool assistance, and 13th salary.
The next step for the IBGE exam is to define the other organizing institutions for the selection process, which should happen soon.
After the institutions are chosen, the contracts between the agencies will be published to proceed with setting the date for the announcement of the notices. According to IBGE, exams will be conducted exclusively for individuals who have not been hired in the last two years. The selection will be valid for one year and may be extended for the same period if necessary.
