The Most Powerful Electric Crane in the World

The Liebherr LHM 800e, classified by its manufacturers as “the most powerful mobile electric crane in the world,” represents a milestone in port crane technology. With a maximum lifting capacity of over 300 tons and an impressive ability to move more than 2,300 tons per hour, this crane is ideal for container ports looking to decarbonize their operations.

“The crane is not unique only in its performance and capabilities. It is also the first of its kind to operate fully electrified,” said terminal operator Marcor Stevedoring in a statement published by Bulk Materials International.

Technical Features

  • Reach: 64 meters.
  • Load Capacity: Greater than 2000 tons per hour.
  • Operation: Fully electrified, eliminating reliance on fossil fuels.
  • Versatility: Capable of handling any type of cargo, from ore to grains and fertilizers.
  • Emission Reduction: Contributes significantly to the company’s sustainability goals, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

Let’s be honest, without cranes like this, it would be quite difficult to transport tons with ease. So, now tell me what you think of this incredible electric crane. I would love to know your opinion in the comments section. I’d also love to know if you are a professional in the field, or if you’ve come face to face with one of these gigantic machines. Don’t forget to rate the post and leave 5 stars, thank you. Until next time!
