OTC Houston 2022 Will Be The Stage For Great Debates And Discussions Surrounding The Oil And Gas Industry, Focusing On The Segment’s New Bet, Offshore Production
The OTC Houston 2022 began this Monday with the traditional welcome cocktail organized by the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce (Bratecc), an event that takes place every year alongside the event. Thus, the meeting of companies from around the world will be essential to develop debates surrounding the oil and gas industry. Furthermore, new alternatives and solutions will also be presented to make this sector even more efficient.
The initial cocktail will feature special guests such as the director of development at Petrobras, João Rittershaussen; the consul general of Brazil in Houston, Maria Izabel Vieira; and the former U.S. ambassador to Brazil, Todd Chapman. This is the initial meeting for Brazilian representatives to open discussions on the investments that will be applied to the country’s offshore sector. Thus, the National Agency of Petroleum (ANP) will be responsible for this presentation and for pointing out what the agency’s regulatory priorities should be from now on within the oil and gas sector.
In the exhibition panel at OTC Houston 2022, Brazil will also gain significant prominence with new presentations for the offshore sector. Therefore, the Brazilian Agency for Promotion of Exports and Investments (Apex-Brasil) will organize the panel and feature 43 companies seeking new opportunities and international business. This is the ideal moment to attract new entrepreneurs to the oil and gas industry in Brazil, with the main focus on the development market for offshore production over the coming years.
Energy Transition, New Drilling Technologies And Petrobras Projects Will Also Be Part Of OTC Houston 2022 Focusing On The Offshore Industry
The main focus of the event concerning the offshore oil and gas production industry in Brazil is the search for new technological alternatives to make this exploration more efficient. Thus, the country will have a panel focused on advances in the drilling technology used during the development of the Brazilian pre-salt. In addition, there will also be a great discussion on the use of technology for data control and distribution for better utilization of oil and gas reserves in Brazil.
Petrobras will not be absent from OTC Houston 2022 and the executive strategy manager of the state-owned company, Eduardo Bordieri, will present on Tuesday “The Campos Basin Case: Unlocking Value From Mature Offshore Brazilian Assets.” Thus, the company hopes to attract new investments to the Campos Basin with the projection of increasing production in the area to 900,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day by 2022, focusing on attracting capital for the development of the initiative.
Finally, there will also be a discussion centered on the energy transition within the offshore oil and gas industry. In addition, the meeting will include prominent representatives from the sector, such as the president of Shell Brazil, André Araújo, the director of the Energy Research Company (EPE), Heloísa Borges, and the business development director of Prumo, Mauro Andrade.
