Inmetro announces a new selection process with internship vacancies for candidates with no experience. Find out how to apply for jobs.

The National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro) announced last Wednesday (05/06), the opening of a new selection process for its Internship Program. Vacancies at Inmetro are intended for high school students with technical and higher education training, with vacancies to work both at the Inmetro campus in Xerém, Duque de Caxias, and at the central office located in Rio de Janeiro.

The vacancy program at Inmetro represents a great opportunity for students looking to develop their skills and gain practical experience. The interested must be regularly enrolled and regularly attend an educational institution that is officially recognized by the Ministry of Education – MEC.

It is also necessary to be regularly enrolled in an educational institution that has a current agreement with CIEE, meet the requirements required by the coordination of the secondary or undergraduate course to take up curricular internship positions.

It is necessary to complete an internship workload of 4 hours per day and 20 hours per week or 6 hours per day and 30 hours per week, according to the description of the vacancies in the notice. At the time of hiring, you must be at least 16 years old, as provided for in the Law.

For internships in an Organizational Unit or in an area considered dangerous or unhealthy, the student must be at least 18 years old, pursuant to the provisions of section XXXIII of article 7 of the Federal Constitution. It is also necessary not to have completed an internship for more than eighteen months at the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology – Inmetro, except for people with disabilities.

Registration in the selection process for vacancies at Inmetro will be open among June 10th to June 21st. The complete notice, where you can find a list of eligible courses and instructions for participation, can be accessed through the Inmetro website. Lasting six months, internship positions can be renewed for up to two years.

For students with disabilities, there is the possibility of extending the internship until the end of the course. For those who are approved in the selection process for vacancies at Inmetro at a secondary level with technical training, the internship grant is R$486,05 for four hours per day, totaling 20 hours per week.

For higher education students, the scholarship varies according to the workload, being R$ 1.125,69 for six hours a day, that is, 30 hours a week, and R$ 787,98 for four hours a day (20 hours per week). In addition, all interns will receive a transportation allowance worth R$10,00 per day of internship, in addition to a break of 15 consecutive days every six months.

Selection process for internship vacancies from Inmetro

After registering, the candidate will have to take the multiple choice test for vacancies at Inmetro, available in an online test format.

The multiple choice test will consist of objective questions to assess the candidate's knowledge in the areas of Portuguese, with 11 questions, mathematics and logical reasoning, with 7 questions, computer science with 8 questions and general knowledge with 15 questions.

For all vacancies, the test is of a classificatory and eliminatory nature, applied exclusively online, with 41 multiple-choice questions, compatible with the level of education for which the candidate registered. Only candidates who obtain a score equal to or greater than 60% of the total test will be classified.
