Who Can Participate in the Selection
The announcement covers distinct profiles, including regularly enrolled high school students and graduates of this stage.
The integrated mode serves those who intend to take high school and technical training in the same course academically.
The concurrent and subsequent modes, in turn, allow candidates to take the technical course while finishing high school or after completion, broadening access for students who wish to enter the job market quickly with a professional certificate.
Objective Exam: Date and Content
The selection will be conducted through an objective exam on December 7, 2025, lasting three hours.
The exam will include questions on Portuguese Language and Mathematics, covering content compatible with elementary and high school education, depending on the mode.
The guidance from IFSP is that candidates check the schedule on the website to verify the time, location of the exam, and other instructions, such as required documentation for access to the rooms.
New Features of the 2026 Selection Process
This year’s technical entrance exam brings measures to facilitate access and make the competition fairer.
Among them is the registration as a trainee, aimed at participants who wish to experience the exam without competing for a real slot.
Another significant change is the possibility to indicate more than one course in the same registration, a mechanism that avoids repeated applications and organizes the choice by order of preference.
The announcement also provides for specialized support for candidates with specific needs, with deadlines and forms of request defined in the registration phase.
Additionally, the quota system remains in effect, which includes a heteroidentification committee to validate self-declarations of black candidates, in line with inclusion policies and the rules adopted by the federal education network.
Guide in Simple Language from IFSP
To support those taking the exam for the first time, IFSP has prepared a guide in simple language.
The material gathers, in direct language, the guidelines on how to register, the phases of the process, the selection criteria, and the key dates.
The reading is recommended for all candidates, including those who are already familiar with the entrance exam routine, as it gathers essential information of the schedule in a single document.

How to Register for the Selection Process
Interested parties must register their application between September 23 and October 20, 2025, exclusively through the platform concurso.fundacaocefetminas.org.br.
In the system, the candidate provides personal data, selects the course, and confirms participation.
The possibility of indicating multiple options in a single registration is one of the new features this year.
With the choice made, the student must prepare for the December exam and follow the official results.
