Open Enrollment for the Free Online Professional Qualification Course in Promotion, Protection, and Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents
The Federal Institute of Rondônia (IFRO) announced Public Notice No. 18/2024/REIT – PROEX/IFRO, dated September 17, 2024, for the selection of students for the professional qualification course in Promotion, Protection, and Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents. The free online course is part of the Rondônia Council School project and aims to train professionals linked to the Child and Adolescent Rights Guarantee System (SGDCA), with the offer of remaining vacancies. The training will be free of charge, and there will be no enrollment fee.
The free online course aims to enhance the skills of SGDCA professionals, addressing essential themes for promoting and defending the rights of children and adolescents. With a total workload divided into 50% in-person and 50% remote, participants will have the opportunity to attend classes, participate in forums, seminars, and assessments. The workload includes online and in-person activities, distributed in meetings at regional hubs and classes in the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA).
Available Places and Locations
The course vacancies are distributed among the IFRO campuses in the following cities and regional hubs:

- Cacoal: 50 vacancies (divided between two classes)

- Jaru: 9 vacancies
- Porto Velho: 49 vacancies (22 in the central region and 27 in the northern zone)
- São Miguel do Guaporé: 5 vacancies
The in-person meetings will take place on specific dates between October and November 2024, as detailed in the public notice schedule.
Selection Process for the Free Course on Protection and Defense of the Rights of Children and Adolescents
The selection process will be carried out based on the analysis of the information provided in the registration form. Priority will be given to teenagers, members of the child and adolescent rights council, public servants, and guardianship counselors. In case of a tie, preference will be given to the older candidate. Extra points will be awarded to people with disabilities, self-identified as black or brown, and transgender individuals.

- Affiliation with the Child and Adolescent Rights Guarantee System (SGDCA);
- Availability to attend in-person meetings;
- Provide a valid email address and phone number;
- Correctly fill out the registration form.
