Investments Will Provide Clean and Renewable Matrix Through the Construction of a Solar Power Complex in Minas Gerais
In Minas Gerais, a major investment in the solar energy market has been established by Brookfield Energia Renovável in partnership with the Spanish multinational Solatio. The contract signed between the companies will allow for the construction of 20 solar parks in the state.

The investment amount is R$ 3 billion for the construction of a solar complex that will occupy an area of more than 3,000 hectares in the city of Janaúba, Minas Gerais. The installed capacity of the complex is 1.2 GWp from Brookfield Energia Renovável.
The construction works are scheduled to start in 2020, and completion is estimated for 2022 or 2023. In total, there will be 20 solar power parks in the final development phase, expected to supply approximately 1.2 million residences in Minas Gerais.
