What is the Partiu IF Program?

The program’s proposal is to strengthen students’ preparation for the selection processes of the Federal Institutes, prioritizing those in socioeconomic vulnerability.
According to the Minister of Education, Camilo Santana, the program aims to ensure that young people from the public education system can compete on equal terms with students from other systems, without lack of preparation being an obstacle.
During the program’s launch, held in March 2025, in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, the Minister emphasized the importance of financial support:
“We will also provide a scholarship of the same amount as Pé-de-Meia for the students who will take the preparatory course of Partiu IF throughout Brazil,” said Santana.
With this, the program intends not only to prepare students but also to ensure their persistence in studies.
How Does Partiu IF Work?
The Partiu IF offers classes and educational reinforcement activities focused on public school students.
The goal is to prepare them for the selection processes of the Federal Institutes and reduce educational inequalities in Brazil.
Priority is given to students in socioeconomic vulnerability who face difficulties accessing quality preparatory content and courses.
Selected students will have access to free preparatory courses, covering basic subjects as well as specific content required for the Federal Institutes’ exams.
The financial support of R$200 per month, offered for 8 months, aims to ensure that students can fully dedicate themselves to their studies without worrying about transportation or food costs.
Who Can Participate in the Program?
The Partiu IF has a very well-defined priority audience.
According to the MEC, the program is mainly aimed at young Black, quilombola, indigenous, disabled individuals, as well as candidates with a per capita income of up to 1 minimum wage (currently R$1,518).
This initiative seeks to guarantee equality of opportunities for those who need it most, promoting social inclusion through education.
Camilo Santana, the Education Minister, explained that the program’s proposal is to provide young people in the 9th grade of elementary school with a more robust preparation for the selection processes of the Federal Institutes.
