Qualification Courses Offered by the Oi Futuro Institute

In-Person:
- Creating My First Digital Game: For youth aged 13 to 16, with a course load of 16 hours, divided into 4 in-person classes at the Colégio Estadual José Leite Lopes, in the Andaraí neighborhood, Rio de Janeiro. Classes will take place on November 1, 8, 22, and 29, focusing on game design, programming, visual art, and sound art.
Online:
- Introduction to Game Design: Course with a total load of 2 hours, available for youth aged 13 and up.
- Introduction to Programming Logic for Games: 2-hour online course, with content focused on the basic principles of programming logic applied to game development.
- Visual Arts for Games: 2-hour course on the main techniques and tools for creating the visual aspect of a game.
- Sound Arts for Games: 2-hour course exploring the use of sounds and soundtracks in building digital games.
All online courses are self-instructional and will provide certification for those who complete the entire formative pathway.
How Does the Selection Process Work?
The courses offered by the Oi Futuro Institute have limited spots, especially for the in-person format. To participate in the in-person course “Creating My First Digital Game,” candidates must be between 13 and 16 years old and be regularly enrolled in a public elementary or high school. Thus, it is necessary to be available in the afternoon for in-person classes.
Online courses, which have a total workload of 8 hours, are open to any student aged 13 and up from anywhere in Brazil. Registrations are free, and participants will be able to access classes starting November 22, with guaranteed certification at the end.
