James Fisher and Sons has secured a multimillion-dollar contract on the Triton Knoll OFTO project, ensuring that system safety is aligned with high voltage (HV) safety regulations, developed and adapted by the James Fisher Renewables team. It will provide comprehensive end-to-end operation and maintenance (O&M) services to support informed decision-making for Triton Knoll OFTO, owned by funds managed by Equitix and TEPCO Power Grid UK. James Fisher Renewables will operate, control, and monitor critical assets through its High Voltage Control Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will implement a proactive condition monitoring approach. This will ensure the continuous availability of high voltage transmission and reduce unplanned outages; mitigating potentially significant financial consequences and impact on progress toward net zero emissions, the company stated. The contract will also see the team support the Triton Knoll OFTO.

This Triton Knoll project marks the latest in a series of successes and brings James Fisher’s global management portfolio to 4.5 GW across the lifecycle of renewable energy assets. James Fisher Renewables will integrate the operation and maintenance of all auxiliary systems as part of its unique integrated services offering.
