Company Stands Out in Rumo Ranking for Sustainability and Environmental Responsibility
JOFEGE, a renowned construction company, was recently awarded the “Sustainable Site – Expansion Works” certificate by Rumo. This recognition celebrates the sustainability and environmental responsibility initiatives adopted by JOFEGE during the construction of the highway viaduct on Juvenal Vasconcelos Street, in Sumaré, São Paulo. The company achieved an impressive score of 82 in a ranking of 100 points, positioning itself among Rumo’s best partner contractors.
The Initiative Towards Sustainability
The “Sustainable Site” certificate is a distinction granted by Rumo since 2021, evaluating contracted companies based on sustainability and environmental responsibility criteria. The assessment considers ten criteria, including solid waste management, chemical product use, water resource and wastewater management, preservation of fauna and flora, energy efficiency, construction standards, greenhouse gas emissions control, communication, social and environmental responsibility, and site organization.
Social Commitment and Awareness
In addition to recognition for its sustainable practices, JOFEGE also stood out for its social initiative. The company mobilized its employees in a voluntary milk collection campaign, gathering 200 liters that were donated to the Solidarity Fund of Sumaré. This action reflects JOFEGE’s commitment to the local community and reinforces its image as a socially responsible company.
