The Volkswagen Electric Kombi Had Other Details Revealed About Its Interior And Power. The VW Kombi, Called ID Buzz, Is Expected To Arrive In The Country In 2025.
Volkswagen revealed everything about the anticipated ID Buzz in July of last year. The electric Kombi from Volkswagen was a pleasant surprise for the van market, especially in Europe, and represents a completely new version of a true classic of the automotive industry.
Volkswagen Electric Kombi May Arrive In Brazil In 2025
By default, the ID Buzz leaves nostalgia only in the nickname, as the exterior features a more modern design and the interior resembles that of a luxury SUV, with a 5.3” digital instrument cluster, three USB-C charging ports, and a 10” touchscreen infotainment system.
Voice command compatibility has also been included in the VW Electric Kombi. For now, there is no set date for the beginning of sales of the model. What is known is that the German automaker plans to bring the ID Buzz to Brazil in 2025, along with another electric vehicle from the ID family.

The Volkswagen continues to produce limited batches of the electric Kombi in Hanover, Germany. So far, only 10,000 have been delivered on European soil. Another topic to be discussed is the price to be charged in Brazil.
The VW Kombi starts at 65,000 euros in the Old Continent, which, in direct conversion, without taxes and fees, would be just over R$ 365,000. In the United Kingdom, there are three variations of the model available: Life, Style, and 1st Edition, the latter being slightly more expensive, with larger wheels and a 12-inch entertainment screen.
In theory, everything indicates that the novelty should arrive in the country at a hefty price, potentially being the most expensive car the company sells in the Brazilian market.
Volkswagen Electric Kombi Has 201 Horsepower
The ID Buzz model measures 4,712 mm in length, 1,938 mm in height, and 1,980 mm in width, and is equipped with LED headlights and a heated windshield. In addition to the traditional model with five seats, Volkswagen plans to introduce a seven-seat variant this year. The first units will be sold with a single electric motor of 201 horsepower mounted on the rear axle and three driving modes: Eco, Sport, and Comfort.
By default, the vehicle will feature a 77 kWh battery capacity. According to the automaker, the estimated range of the VW Kombi per charge is approximately 400 km. Its luggage capacity is very large, with 1,121 liters by default or 2,205 liters with the rear seats folded down.
VW May Bring New More Powerful Variants Over The Next Year
The Volkswagen Kombi can be recharged using household electricity, up to 22 kW in an alternating current system and up to 170 kW in a direct current system, and also supports bidirectional charging, meaning the owner can use the car to power other electronics. Throughout this year, it is expected that new, more powerful variants and even all-wheel-drive options will be developed by the company.
One of them is the GTX, which, according to rumors, is an electric Kombi model with a dual motor generating 295 horsepower. The ID Buzz is also compatible with over-the-air software updates, allowing the brand to enhance and improve the model’s features without the owner needing to take it to an authorized dealership, and it also features the automaker’s Travel Assist system.
