The announcement was made last Friday (06/26) by Petrobras. The amount corresponds to the second installment of the total anticipated in the agreement signed with the Technip Group in 2019. Petrobras has recovered R$ 1.2 billion in the last 12 months.

In July 2019, Petrobras had received the first installment of the agreement amounting to approximately R$ 313 million, which combined with the second installment received this week, totals more than R$ 578 million returned to the company under this agreement.
So far, the total resources returned to the state-owned company due to collaboration agreements, leniency, and repatriations have exceeded R$ 4.5 billion.
The agreement was signed by the General Comptroller of the Union (CGU), the Attorney General of the Union (AGU), the Federal Public Ministry (MPF), and the United States Department of Justice, and also involved the company Flixibras, which belongs to the Technip Group.
These reimbursements stem from Petrobras’ status as a victim in the crimes investigated under the Operation Car Wash. The company reaffirms its commitment to taking appropriate measures in pursuit of adequate compensation for the damages caused to it.
“Petrobras acts as a co-author with the Federal Public Ministry and the Union in 18 ongoing administrative improbity actions, in addition to being an assistant in 70 criminal actions related to illicit acts investigated by Operation Car Wash,” the company informed in a statement.
