Federal Revenue Auction Features Vehicles, Electronics, Clothing, and Many Other Items at Prices Well Below Market Rates.
This week marked the beginning of the phase aimed at receiving bids for items present at the Federal Revenue Auction, which today includes seized or abandoned goods and even vehicles.
According to the Federal Revenue, bids for the auction can only be made online, until 9 PM on February 28. The auction will take place on February 29 at the Customs of the Port of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo.
Initially, it was expected that the auction would feature 100 lots. However, plans were changed due to a fire that affected a Federal Revenue warehouse, resulting in the loss of some goods.

Auction by Closed Lots
According to the Federal Revenue website, bids for this auction must be made for closed lots, in which the interested party acquires a specific set of items. In addition to these closed lots, there are also the so-called numbered lots, which include, for example:
- A 2005/2006 Fiat Doblô Cargo pickup starting at R$ 13 thousand.
- A 2021 Chevrolet Onix starting at R$ 40 thousand.
- A Macbook Air starting at R$ 2.5 thousand.

It is important to highlight that legal entities can bid on all items, unlike individuals, who can only submit bids for specific lots.

Who Can Participate in the Auction?
Both individuals and companies can participate in the auction. Individuals must be at least 18 years old or emancipated, registered with the Individual Taxpayer Registry (CPF), and have a Silver or Gold trust seal in the digital identity system of the Federal Government.
Companies must be regularly registered in the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) or, in the case of the business owner or their representative, have a Silver or Gold trust seal in the digital identity system of the Federal Government.
How to Participate in the Auction?
Participation in the electronic auction will be done through the “Electronic Auction System” service, accessed via the Virtual Center for Taxpayer Assistance (e-CAC). The interested party must identify themselves using their digital identities from the gov.br account with Silver or Gold trust level.
After logging in, the participant can access the Electronic Auction System through the Virtual Center for Taxpayer Assistance (e-CAC), select the auction notice in question, numbered 0817800/000001/2024 – PORT OF SANTOS; choose the lot they wish to bid on, and click “include proposal”.
