Arrival Of The Lexus RZ Was Confirmed “Very Soon” By The Brand Head In The Country, Who Also Revealed Record Sales Plans And The Opening Of New Dealerships.
Lexus, Toyota’s luxury brand, is preparing for a decisive step in Brazil: the arrival of its first fully electric car. The chosen model is the Lexus RZ SUV, and the confirmation came directly from Nancy Serapião, head of Lexus in Brazil. In an interview, she assured that the launch will happen “very soon”, positioning the brand with a modern and technological product in the premium segment.
The First 100% Electric Lexus In The Country
The confirmation of the new electric SUV was made strategically. “The next product we will launch in Brazil will be a 100% electric. (…) I can say it’s an SUV,” said Nancy Serapião.
Although the name was not mentioned, the conclusion is clear: it is the Lexus RZ. This is the only global SUV from the brand already conceived as an electric vehicle, setting it apart from other adaptations. Launched globally in 2023, the model uses the modern e-TNGA platform, the same as the Toyota bZ4x, and measures 4.81 meters in length.

Power, Battery And Range Of The Lexus RZ

The luxury SUV operates with a 400-Volt architecture and an impressive powertrain. It has two electric motors that generate a combined power of 313 hp. The distribution is made by a front motor of 204 hp and a rear one of 109 hp.
Its lithium-ion battery has a capacity of 71.4 kWh. The estimated range in the U.S. EPA cycle, considered closer to the Brazilian standard, is up to 360 km. In addition, the model supports fast charging of up to 150 kW in direct current (DC).
Lexus In Expansion: Record Sales And New Stores

The arrival of the Lexus RZ is part of an aggressive strategy by the brand for Brazil. The goal for 2025 is ambitious: to sell 1,500 vehicles, which would represent a historic record. Growth is already a reality, with 459 units sold from January to May, a 15.6% increase from the previous year.
To support this expansion, the dealership network will increase from 11 to 14 stores by the end of the year. New units will be opened in Barueri (SP), Campinas (SP), and Florianópolis (SC).
Warranty And Support From The Toyota Network For Customers
Thinking of the consumer, Lexus offers solid benefits, such as an extended warranty for ten years or 200,000 km, which also covers used vehicles. An important differential is the convenience of the support network. “Lexus customers can use the Toyota network if they need assistance or maintenance in any city where there is no Lexus store,” highlighted the executive.
