Maersk Supply Wins Contract With Shell in Rio de Janeiro, Contract for Mooring Lines for FPSO

The Danish Vessel Supplier Maersk Supply Service Will Provide an Integrated Lifespan Extension Solution for Shell’s FPSO Fluminense, Including Project Management, Engineering, Interface Management, and Offshore Execution off the Coast of Rio de Janeiro.

Maersk Supply said on Wednesday that the offshore phase is set to begin in December. The project includes heading control of the FPSO Fluminense, replacement of anchor lines, as well as installation and connection of the new anchoring components under the Shell contract.

The Maersk Achiever is set to mobilize to Brazil after the completion of another anchor line replacement project in West Africa.

“This is an important milestone for Maersk Supply Service, both in Brazil and globally, as we continue to expand our integrated solutions business. Since the beginning of the engineering phase, we have assembled a centralized project team alongside our client to ensure perfect alignment,” said the company’s Head of Integrated Solutions, Olivier Trouve.

Earlier this week, Maersk Supply announced that it had entered into a 1.5-year contract with Blue Marine Group to support Pemex with the Maersk Installer Submarine Support Vessel.
