“Potential buyers qualified for this phase will receive an invitation letter with detailed instructions on the divestment process, including guidance on due diligence and submission of binding proposals,” Petrobras said in the statement.
Petrobras emphasizes that the deal is aligned with the strategy to optimize the investment portfolio and improve the company’s capital allocation, and has increasingly focused its resources on world-class assets, that is, assets more resilient to volatility. Oil prices present lower risks and higher financial returns.

Albacora and Albacora Leste Oil Fields Petrobras
The Albacora oil field has an area of 455 km2, located in the northern part of the Campos Basin, approximately 110 kilometers from Cabo de São Tomé, on the northern coast of the State of Rio de Janeiro, in water depths of 100 to 1,050 m. Production in this oil field in October reached 36.4 thousand barrels of oil per day and 606 million m3/day of gas. Operations are fully owned by Petrobras.
The Albacora Leste oil field has an area of 511.56 km2 and is located in the northern part of the Campos Basin, with water depths ranging from 1,000 to 2,150 m, about 120 km from Cabo São Tomé. Last month, the oil field produced 30 thousand barrels of oil per day and 703 million m3/day of gas. Petrobras’ operations in the field account for 90%, with 10% belonging to Repsol Sinopec Brasil.
