Docking of Cruise Ships at Pier Mauá Will Be Intensified This High Season, There Will Be 12% More Compared to the Same Period Last Year at the Port
The 2019/2020 Cruise Season Will Be Intensified at the Port of Rio de Janeiro Starting This Wednesday, the 13th, with the docking of the ships Aida Aura and Viking Sun. By the 19th, more than ten thousand tourists are expected to pass through the International Cruise Terminal Pier Mauá. One of the major attractions for this period will be the cruise ship MSC Fantasia, which will bring about 5,600 tourists.
With 10 more ships than in the previous season, the expectation is a 12% increase in the number of passengers, as the forecast is to receive about 425 thousand tourists by April 2020, compared to 380 thousand in the 2018/2019 season. The number of international ships has also increased, from 19 to 27 compared to the last season.
