For the first time in history, an asset exceeds the mark of 600,000 boed, having extracted 487,300 bopd and 18.2 million m³ of natural gas per day. The field is the second largest producer of oil and gas in Brazil, following only the Lula field.
Four FPSOs are operating in Búzios: P-74, P-75, P-76, and P-77, with the first of them starting two operations in April 2018. The field was leased to Petrobras by the federal government in 2010, and since then, the asset has been responsible for significant production.
At the end of last year, Petrobras also secured the excess volumes from the onerous concession in an auction held by the ANP.
Sapinhoá, Jubarte, and South of Lula are on the list of the five largest pre-salt producing fields, with production of 308,100 boed, 187,500 boed, and 74,600 boed, respectively.
In the coming years 2020-2024, Petrobras plans to invest US$ 18 billion in the development of Búzios, with the installation of eight more production units, including Búzios V (Admiral Barroso).
