The World’s Largest Burger Producer Expands Production in the State of São Paulo and Opens 400 New Job Positions to Meet Chinese Demand
Marfrig announced on Friday that it will add a new work shift at its factory in Promissão, in the State of São Paulo, and that it will hire 400 professionals for the unit. Below are all the positions required by the company. The state’s economy is warming up; 1,500 job positions will be generated by Volkswagen in the region.
The world’s largest burger producer stated that the new production shift “is due to the increase in exports to the Chinese market.”

Recently, Marfrig received authorization for two more factories to serve China – Tangará da Serra and Várzea Grande, both in the state of Mato Grosso.
With this, Marfrig now has eleven production units authorized for export to the Asian country, five in Brazil, four in Uruguay, and two in Argentina, the company informed in a press release.
“We are the company with the most authorized plants for China in South America,” said Miguel Gularte, CEO of Marfrig Global Foods South America operation.
This Monday, the 9th, it was announced that 25 more Brazilian units have been authorized to export to China. Of the total, 17 plants are for beef, six for chicken, one for pork, and one for donkeys. China has a growing demand for Brazilian animal protein as local herds are suffering from African swine fever.
