Octans Aircraft Will Transfer Its Production to the State and Will Receive Tax Incentives
Octans Aircraft, a company currently headquartered in São João da Boa Vista, São Paulo, will receive tax incentives to move its production to Mato Grosso, more specifically to the city of Lucas do Rio Verde, which is 354 km north of the state capital, Cuiabá. The production of the 5-seat single-engine planes will begin in 2023.
Granted Tax Incentives
During the 13th extraordinary meeting of the Development Programs Deliberative Council of Mato Grosso (Condeprodemat), held last Thursday (6), it was determined to grant 85% tax waiver for the company’s operations within the state and 90% for interstate operations.
Economic Impact of the New Industry
The growth in the aviation sector in Mato Grosso is due to the distance from major centers and the presence of a very large market. The new, advanced technology industry will further encourage the production and purchase of aircraft in the region, bringing significant economic development and generating jobs and income across all areas.
