The Wind Farm in Ibiapaba Will Be Composed of 70 Wind Turbines, with a Total Power Generation Capacity of 315 MW

A mega project is about to transform the landscape of Ibiapaba, in Ceará. With an estimated investment of R$ 2 billion, Ventos de Santa Rosália Energias Renováveis plans to construct a wind complex that promises to revolutionize energy generation in the region, according to the site Diário do Nordeste.

The wind farm will feature seven generating centers equipped with a total of 70 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 4.5 MW. This will result in an installed capacity of 315 MW, capable of providing clean energy to thousands of homes and businesses.

Environmental Impact and Job Creation

The project proposal includes detailed environmental studies that are currently under discussion at the State Environmental Council (Coema). Furthermore, the construction of the wind farm is expected to generate hundreds of direct and indirect jobs in the region, boosting the local economy.

In addition to job creation, the wind farm project also aims to provide socioeconomic benefits for the area, including improvements in local infrastructure, such as access roads and energy distribution networks.

The final decision on the environmental impact study for the wind farm project will be made at the next Coema meeting. The outcome of this decision will significantly impact not only the Ibiapaba region but also the future of renewable energy in the state of Ceará.

The wind farm project in Ibiapaba represents not only a significant investment in Ceará’s energy infrastructure but also an important step towards a more sustainable and environmentally responsible future. It is expected that, with the advancement of this endeavor, the region can become a reference hub for clean and renewable energy.
