Mercado Livre and Globant Offer 2,500 Scholarships for a Technology Course. The First 250 Scholarships Will Prioritize Women, Non-Binary People, Black Individuals, and Graduates of Public Schools
Mercado Livre, the e-commerce giant, in partnership with the technology company Globant and the edtech Digital House, has launched a technology education course that aims to train 10,000 professionals in the field over two years. The goal is to provide 2,500 scholarships in Latin America, with 700 of them available in Brazil.

In Brazil, which has the largest deficit among 10 assessments of Latin American countries, it is estimated that by 2024 more than 300,000 professionals will be needed in the technology field. Of the 10,000 professionals who will benefit from the partnership, 2,500 will receive a 95% scholarship for the course called Certified Tech Developer.
The goal is to train professionals ready to enter the job market, using an academic approach based on agile methodologies. The launch is simultaneous in Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia.

The training, which will last for two years, will be online with live classes. The methodology aims for practical learning and includes teachers who are embedded in the market helping students carry out projects.
According to the class plan, the idea is that students will have sufficient knowledge to enter the job market by the end of the first year of the course. During their learning, they will have the opportunity to connect with professionals from Mercado Livre and Globant. Additionally, specialists from both technology companies will evaluate the final projects of the students.

Requirements: There are no income criteria in the selection process; to apply, the student must be over 16 years old and have completed high school.
The cost for the first year of the course in Brazil is R$ 16,800, and with the scholarship, the student will pay R$ 840 (in installments). The selection process after registration involves a series of tests and interviews.
