Futuristic Design: The New Mercedes-Benz Identity
The front of the GLC EQ is the first indication of the brand’s aesthetic shift. The illuminated grille, nicknamed the “face of the future,” features up to 942 LED points and sophisticated animations, highlighting the backlit central star.
According to Mercedes-Benz, this element will be the signature of the new premium SUVs in the EQ lineup, reinforcing the model’s presence against competitors like the BMW iX3.
Moreover, the car maintains elegant lines and modern proportions, combining style with functionality, a traditional characteristic of the brand.
Digital and Sustainable Interior: Luxury with Environmental Awareness
The new Mercedes-Benz GLC EQ 2026 features an interior that combines advanced technology and eco-friendly materials. The dashboard may include the MBUX Superscreen, integrating three displays under the same glass: a 10.3” instrument cluster, a 14” multimedia central display, and a screen for the passenger in more sophisticated versions.
For those seeking an even more immersive experience, the SUV will offer the 39.1” MBUX Hyperscreen, running the new MB.OS system.
The artificial intelligence learns driving habits and allows interaction in natural language, while the MBUX virtual assistant presents animated avatars to guide the user.
The luxury of the GLC remains, but with attention to sustainability. Seats with foams made from 30% recycled material, PET bottle coverings, and carpets made from Econyl threads reinforce Mercedes-Benz’s environmental commitment.
Comfort and Technology: Seats, Lighting, and Interior Space
The premium SUV also stands out for its comfort. The new AGR seats offer a massage function, while the adjustable ambient lighting creates personalized environments.
The electrochromic panoramic roof automatically regulates brightness, ensuring more comfort for the occupants.
The dimensions have been increased: the wheelbase grew by 8 cm, reaching 2.96 meters, providing more space for rear seat passengers.
The trunk has a capacity of 570 liters, complemented by a front compartment of 128 liters for cables and small items.
Electric Strategy and Market: Competition with Premium SUVs
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 2026 EQ will be one of the pillars of the brand’s electric strategy, reinforcing its presence in the mid-size electric vehicles.
The model promises to compete directly with the BMW iX3 and other electrified premium SUVs.
Mercedes-Benz admits that previous sales of the EQ models fell short of expectations, and the redesign aims to solidify the brand in this expanding segment.
For now, there is no official launch forecast for the GLC EQ in Brazil, but the debut at the Munich Motor Show is already generating great expectations among enthusiasts of premium SUVs and electric vehicles.
