The high-autonomy electric truck from Mercedes-Benz is equipped with 420 kWh lithium batteries, providing the vehicle with 400 km of range in the WLTP cycle. The vehicle also has a version with 542 horsepower and another with 447 horsepower.
With various modern features, the brand’s electric truck will also enter the market with technologies such as MirrorCam, which consists of high-resolution cameras instead of standard external mirrors, and Multimedia Cockpit Interactive. This same camera technology was previously showcased by Mercedes-Benz in Brazil.
High-Autonomy Truck from Mercedes-Benz – eActros Will Be Powered by Two Motors
The new electric truck is powered by two electric motors and features a two-speed reduction gearbox. But it doesn’t stop there; the model also has a service manager known as eMobility and a fleet manager called eConsulting.
The German manufacturer’s vehicle can be charged at 160 kW stations and is also connected to managers and external services via the internet. Being very quiet, the Mercedes-Benz truck uses the External Acoustic Alert System and also an automatic braking detector that focuses on the benefit of cyclists and pedestrians.
