In Partnership With Senai-SP, Ford Offers Course in Information Technology for Front-End
Automaker Ford has created a program in partnership with Senai-SP to provide free technology courses for low-income individuals. The front-end course being offered by the program will teach students how to develop the graphical interface (visual part) of a website or application, which includes the elements that enable user interaction, such as search areas and forms. Information About Ford’s Front-End Course
The classes for the IT technology course will be held in person at the Ford Academy in São Paulo, a multifunctional space that serves as a center for the dissemination of new technologies, services, training, consumer experience, and relationship with the brand’s partners. In the course, participants are trained in front-end programming, receive behavioral training, and also have access to several benefits. These are:
- Transportation and food assistance
- Technical English course
- Pedagogical and socio-emotional support
- Mentoring program
- Lectures and visits to a technology company
- Opportunity to enter the job market
- Possibility of additional training in back-end
- Students can choose between morning, afternoon, or evening classes (subject to availability)
The Ford Academy, home of the technology course, was developed by Ford Brazil and the Ford Fund in partnership with SENAI-SP. In 2023, 200 vacancies will be offered for the behavioral and technical training program. It will take place completely free of charge and does not require prior knowledge of technology. In six months, students who pass the selection process will participate in 440 hours of in-person classes taught by SENAI-SP.

How to Participate in Ford’s Technology Course?
Individuals 18 years or older, with a completed high school education, and residents of the São Paulo Metropolitan Area who can prove low income will be eligible to participate in the program. Candidates who self-declare as Black, Brown, Yellow, or Indigenous, belonging to the LGBTQIAP+ community, transgender individuals, and cisgender women will have priority in the selection process.
