Angie Baker left the city hall to manage contracts and behind-the-scenes of the CaseOh channel, the gaming phenomenon of her son who already has 10 million subscribers.

Aiming to ensure the success of the family brand, mother Angie Baker made the drastic decision to resign from her stable job at the Arkansas city hall, in the United States, to become the general manager behind the “CaseOh” channel.

The main goal of Angie Baker, a 51-year-old manager, is to protect and continue the digital empire built by her 24-year-old son, Case. The professional’s initiative has yielded significant results, helping the young man’s company surpass the 10 million subscriber mark on the YouTube platform after four years of journey.

The psychological price and million-dollar decisions behind the scenes

Although she leads the business plan and rigorously filters the commercial proposals that reach the company, Case’s mother sets a clear limit that the final decision-making power belongs entirely to the digital influencer.

This management autonomy has even led the young content creator to reject advertising contracts worth millions of dollars, simply because he understands that the offered products did not resonate with his target audience’s profile.

In an interview given to the American news portal Business Insider, the businesswoman directly pointed out what the young man’s role is within the corporation:

“It’s his business.”

On the other hand, managing significant figures and brand attention imposes a very high emotional price on the family routine.

Angie reports that the internet environment is surrounded by daily demands and hostile comments, which forces her to take off the executive suit in times of crisis to focus solely on the psychological health of her 24-year-old son.

As she confessed in her statement to Business Insider: “He is not always well, and I remind him that it’s okay to stop.”

Despite the high revenue and the tremendous success on the internet, the family unit insists on keeping their feet on the ground, choosing to preserve their simple everyday habits and ties with the regional community where they live.

From slow internet to business structure with editors

The current reality of the company is completely different from the early steps of the home business, which required patience and the parents’ efforts in task division.

Currently, the obligations of the new businesswoman are focused on the following fronts:

  • Internal coordination: Direct supervision of channels and command of the employee team.
  • Commercial relations: Conducting and closing partnerships with sponsoring brands.
  • Legal support: Mediation of dialogues and contracts with lawyers and market talent agents.

This entire structure was consolidated exactly one year after the start of the creator’s official broadcasts, at which point both the mother and father resigned from their previous formal jobs to join the team full-time. Initially, the father was directly involved in monitoring and moderating on the Twitch platform to keep the environment free from attacks.

At that time, the structure had limited resources. Faced with a very slow network connection, the matriarch had to spend an entire workday to complete the upload of a single video file.

The spark of success and the transition to Twitch

The beginning of this victorious journey in the virtual environment happened quite unintentionally when the young man started publishing video materials playing the game NBA 2K.

The scenario suddenly changed online when one of his posts on the TikTok platform went viral and attracted 15,000 new followers in just one night.

This initial explosion served as the spark for the mother to encourage the young man to move to live broadcasts on Twitch, considered the largest live streaming platform in the world in the electronic games segment.

The accelerated growth that followed forced a risky decision at the time: to abandon conventional jobs to turn a simple video game hobby into a highly profitable and structured profession.
