Startup Develops Futuristic Electric Motorcycle That Delivers 134 Horsepower and 400 km Range. The Vehicle Will Be Presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The startup Davinci Motor, from China, revealed its model of electric motorcycle DC100 for the first time in July of last year, being the first model produced by the company. Dubbed a robot on wheels, the model drew attention for its design and performance. The company recently emphasized that it will present its futuristic electric motorcycle at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January of next year.
Model Features 134 Horsepower
According to the international business manager of Davinci Motor, Rosanna Líbia, the company is excited to announce that CES 2023 marks its first appearance in the American market. The model has been announced to compete in the motorcycle market with 1,000 cc bikes.
In this way, the futuristic electric motorcycle features a 17.7 kWh battery that powers an electric motor capable of generating up to 134 horsepower. This setup is sufficient to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in three seconds and reach a top speed of 200 km/h.

Another highlight is its ability to be fully charged in 30 minutes due to its level three fast charging. The estimated range of the DC100 is 400 km. According to the executive, as a technology-focused company, CES is at the top of the company’s event agenda. Available since October in the Chinese market, the futuristic electric motorcycle has not yet officially arrived in the USA.
Electric Motorcycle DC100 May Hit the Market at US$ 27,500
As if the vehicle’s configuration wasn’t impressive enough, the model is much more than a conventional electric motorcycle. It is a robotic concept equipped with over 300 chips and 200 sensors, according to the company.
This configuration allows the DC100 to sense what is happening around it and provide accurate information about the temperature of the motor, the battery, and various other data to the rider in real time. The model will be on display at the Davinci Motor booth at the conference and is expected to cost around US$ 27,500 in the United States, approximately R$ 145,000 at the current direct exchange rate.
For the company, showcasing its electric model at the event also represents the perfect opportunity for more people, resellers, and distributors to experience the product up close. The futuristic electric motorcycle was also presented in Europe in November, at the world’s largest motorcycle exhibition, EICMA, which takes place every year in Milan, Italy.
Solar-Powered Electric Motorcycle
Currently, motorcycles are among the most utilized forms of transport, whether for short or long distances. Knowing that the motorcycle is a widely used vehicle, many people plan to replace gasoline-powered bikes with an electric model.
With this in mind, Cake, a company from Sweden, developed a solar-powered electric motorcycle called Osa AP, a super economical and quiet transport, primarily aimed at professionals in the security sector who help combat illegal poaching, such as forest rangers. The vehicle is a tool exclusively for security companies.
In this way, the Osa AP features a removable battery, allowing the user to charge the component using an electric power source. Additionally, it is also possible to optimize the battery’s lifespan, as well as having the option to charge it using sunlight, making the company also consider it a solar-powered motorcycle.
