A Paraguayan Driver Used Beach Chairs to Hide the Rear Plate of His Car and Avoid Fines on SC Highways. Caught Between Governor Celso Ramos and Florianópolis, the Case Gathered the Attention of the PRF, Which Highlights the Need for Approach to Autuacao. Reports to 191 Are Fundamental to Curb Infractions Thus.

The audacity of a foreign driver on Brazilian highways has left many drivers and authorities intrigued. Recently, a case caught between Governor Celso Ramos and Florianópolis drew attention for the creativity with which a driver tried to circumvent regulation.

The situation, recorded on video, highlighted a problem that challenges the actions of authorities and reveals the boldness of those who attempt to escape the rules.

A recent catch, recorded between Governor Celso Ramos and Florianópolis, revealed an unexpected strategy used to evade fines.

The case, which seems straight out of a movie script, sheds light on the creativity of some to bypass traffic laws and challenges the effectiveness of regulation.

Conduct Caught on SC Highways

According to information released by the ND+ portal, a Paraguayan tourist was caught driving on BR-101 and BR-282 (Expressway) using an unusual technique to hide the rear plate of his car.

He used beach chairs strategically positioned to obstruct the identification of the vehicle, a maneuver that drew attention from other drivers and was reported by a witness.

As reported, the catch was made by a reader and viewer of the ND Group, who recorded the incident and sent the images captured on the route between Governor Celso Ramos and Florianópolis to the newsroom. The situation reflects a clear attempt to evade traffic rules and avoid fines.

Severe Infraction, But with Legal Limitations

The PRF (Federal Highway Police) was contacted and confirmed that such conduct is classified as a severe infraction, according to the Brazilian Traffic Code.

The driver can be fined R$ 293, with the possibility of vehicle detention until the plate is properly legible.

In comparison, infractions such as running a red light or parking in a prohibited area also have similar values, reinforcing that the attempt to conceal the plate is considered equally serious by the Brazilian Traffic Code.

This highlights the importance of treating these practices seriously to avoid the feeling of impunity.

However, there is a hindrance: for the fine to be applied, the infraction must be witnessed by a traffic officer.

This means that, even in the presence of evidence such as videos or photos, authorities cannot ticket the offender directly.

“Enforcement can only occur if there is an approach at the moment of the catch,” emphasized a representative of the PRF.

What to Do When Witnessing a Similar Situation?

The PRF recommends that, upon witnessing illegal conduct like this, citizens should contact immediately by phone 191.

Quick and detailed reports can help authorities intercept the vehicle and apply the appropriate sanctions.

When calling 191, try to provide the exact location of the occurrence, the direction the vehicle is heading, visual characteristics of the car, such as model, color, and partial plate number, as well as clearly describing the irregular behavior observed.

This information significantly increases the chances of an effective approach.

Repercussion of the Driver Case and Reflection on Society

Cases like this raise a broader discussion about respect for traffic laws and the need for greater awareness among drivers.

Measures such as educational campaigns, more frequent enforcement in critical areas, and greater disclosure of penalties can contribute to this awareness.

Additionally, partnerships between driver training schools and traffic authorities can reinforce learning about the importance of following rules from the first licensing.

The attempt to evade rules, besides representing a disrespect for regulations, also jeopardizes safety on highways.

According to traffic experts, such behaviors can inspire others to try to escape enforcement, creating an environment of impunity.

Therefore, it is essential for both citizens and authorities to cooperate to ensure a safer and fairer traffic for all.

Although creative, the strategy used by the Paraguayan driver reflects a serious problem that goes beyond the infraction itself: the attempt to escape legal consequences through dishonest actions.

It is up to authorities and society as a whole to curb this type of behavior so that our highways can be safer and fairer.

Report irregularities, demand stricter enforcement, and share the importance of following traffic laws.

Your actions can make a difference in building a more conscious and responsible traffic for everyone. And you, what would you do if you witnessed such a situation? Comment below!
