With The Acquisition Of The Startup, Multilaser Aims For New Products For Its Brand, In Addition To Becoming The First Manufacturer Of 100% Electric Vehicles In The Free Trade Zone Of Manaus
Multilaser announced this week that it has purchased Watts Electric Mobility, a startup of electric motorcycles, founded in 2018. Watts, which operates as a manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles powered by electricity in Manaus, was bought for R$ 10.5 million. Multilaser’s true intention in acquiring the startup was not only to enter a new product segment but primarily to gain new sales point models.
Acquisition Process Of The Startup
The new acquisition will make Multilaser the first manufacturer of 100% electric vehicles in the Free Trade Zone of Manaus, and will also expand the commercial reach and technical assistance of Watts Electric Mobility. Watts also has several stores and dealerships in 10 states and in the Federal District.
The products from Atrio, which are also from Multilaser, particularly focused on electric sports items, will be offered at Watts sales points. Some models from the startup already have the Certificate of Compliance With Traffic Legislation (CAT), which enables the registration and licensing of vehicles with the traffic executive bodies across all states.

Manaus Will Be A Gateway To The Expansion Of 100% Electric Vehicles
According to Multilaser’s Vice President of Product, André Poroger, there is great potential for adoption by professionals and companies already operating in the logistics sector, vehicle rental, as well as food delivery apps, etc.
For Rodrigo Gomes, CEO of Watts, who will remain at the helm, he envisions a future where not only companies and delivery systems can use electric motorcycles, but also motorcyclists in general can make use of this 100% electric vehicle.
The company was already considering expanding its production in Manaus, and Multilaser’s proposal came at the right time, especially in terms of investment and potential returns.
