The Contracts Won by Vallourec Are Part of an Endeavor in the Búzios Field, Responsible for Producing ¼ of Petrobras’ Oil and Gas Production
Vallourec, a leading company in the steel tube sector, celebrates a significant milestone with the award of two contracts for the supply of pipes in the prestigious Búzios Field for oil and gas, operated by Petrobras. This accomplishment in the Búzios Field reinforces the company’s strategic position in Brazil, one of its key markets, and demonstrates customer confidence in the quality and continuity of its supplies.
The Búzios Field is recognized as one of the largest deepwater fields in the world and is responsible for a quarter of Petrobras’ oil production. With the acquisition of these contracts, the company will supply an impressive 48,000 tons of pipes for operations in the Búzios Field.
High-Quality Pipes for Superior Performance
The contracts for Vallourec’s Búzios oil field involve the supply of 346 km of submarine pipes for risers and flow lines in the Subsea Umbilicals, Risers, and Flowlines (SURF) package. These pipes will be mechanically lined pipes (MLPs) with CRA (corrosion-resistant alloy) coating, ensuring superior performance and reliability in oil and gas extraction. Vallourec takes pride in offering exceptional products to its valued customers and reaffirms this commitment by producing the optional quantities related to these projects at its advanced facilities in Germany and its PQF plant in Jeceaba, Minas Gerais.
