Cutting-edge photography and imaging features on the Motorola Moto G87
The manufacturer’s main bet for the Motorola Moto G87 is its camera system, redesigned to deliver professional results.
The main sensor boasts 200 MP and uses Ultra Pixel technology, which increases light sensitivity by 16 times. Additionally, optical image stabilization (OIS) ensures that videos and photos are free from shakes.
The rear setup is completed by an 8 MP ultrawide lens and an ambient light sensor, while the 32 MP front camera handles selfies. Among the software innovations, highlights include:
- Variable focal lengths: Ability to shoot at 24 mm, 35 mm, or 50 mm.
- Automatic capture: The Auto Smile Capture feature identifies smiles and takes the photo without manual commands.
- Artificial Intelligence: Native integration with Google Gemini and the “Circle to Search” feature.

Durability and “Extreme AMOLED” screen
Unlike other mid-range devices, the Motorola Moto G87 was built to survive hostile environments. It features the MIL-STD-810H military standard, supporting drops of up to 1.2 meters, and IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications, which protect against dust and high-pressure water jets.
The 6.78-inch screen, protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, offers 1.5K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. Another highlight is the 5,000 nits brightness, which allows for perfect readability even under intense sunlight.
Meanwhile, the stereo sound system with Dolby Atmos support promises 280% higher sound power than its predecessor, ensuring total immersion in games and movies.

Motorola Moto G87: Performance, battery, and software
At the heart of the Motorola Moto G87 is the MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor. The device offers memory flexibility with 8 GB or 12 GB RAM versions, which can reach 24 GB through the RAM Boost feature.
Internal storage is generous, with 256 GB or 512 GB options. Therefore, the hardware is robust enough to run native Android 16 and the Hello UX interface smoothly.
To keep everything running, Motorola included a 5,200 mAh battery with support for 30W TurboPower charging. Weighing just 183 grams and with a thickness of 7.38 mm, the device manages to balance a slim body with the necessary robustness for everyday use.
