The Xiaomi security camera has just gained a new heavyweight member: the Smart Camera 4, officially launched in China as a pre-sale item. With an 8-megapixel sensor capable of capturing images in 4K resolution, the camera promises to deliver more precise monitoring with the help of artificial intelligence, advanced night vision, and support for Wi-Fi 6.

The design is minimalistic and modern, highlighting the central lens, protected by a compact and clean body. The novelty is integrated into Xiaomi’s Mijia ecosystem and can connect with other brand devices through the Xiaomi Pengpai Zhilian, ensuring interoperability with smart home.

The night vision function of the new Xiaomi security camera is another highlight. Thanks to the built-in infrared system, the Smart Camera 4 is capable of capturing images in total darkness, with a range of up to 10 meters. This makes the model ideal for nighttime monitoring of outdoor areas or poorly lit indoor environments, such as hallways, storage rooms, and backyards.

The technology guarantees sharp images even at night, with clear detection of silhouettes and moving objects—essential for property security and residential surveillance.

Xiaomi Smart Camera 4 Is Available for Pre-Sale in China and Currently Has No Global Release Date

The Smart Camera 4 is available for pre-sale in China for 249 Yuans, equivalent to approximately R$ 199 in direct conversion. As an incentive, Xiaomi offers a 64GB memory card as a gift for the first buyers.

Official sales start on April 18, but so far there is no confirmation regarding the arrival of the model in other markets, such as Brazil, Europe, or the United States. Nevertheless, the expectation is that the camera will reach the global market in the coming months, given the growing demand for smart security solutions.
