A new factory is being built in Serra (ES), the third factory of Perfilados Rio Doce (PRD), in the Jacuhy neighborhood. The company, which is part of the RGD Aços do Brasil Group, specialized in the production of metallic solutions, invested around R$ 260 million to initiate the construction of the new unit. It is estimated that around 100 jobs will be generated during the construction phase and another 240 jobs when the new unit in ES begins its operations. It is important to highlight that the plant was visited by the State Governor, Renato Casagrande, last Thursday morning (26).

The company has joined the State Investment Incentive Program in ES (Invest-ES), which allowed for the expansion of the industrial plant, in addition to generating hundreds of new jobs in the state. According to the governor of ES, the works at the new factory promise to generate even more income and jobs for the locals, in addition to further developing the state.

The governor states that these investments aim to make Espírito Santo more competitive and fair for everyone, and to achieve that, investments are also being made in infrastructure, education, and other areas to generate more opportunities for the locals.

According to Ricardo Pessanha, Secretary of State for Innovation and Development, ES has demonstrated greater and important competitiveness through its fiscal incentive policy, which has fostered businesses in various sectors.

Pessanha states that the government has a broad vision of the local economy and the state’s expansion potential, which stands out in the Brazilian economic environment due to competitiveness, legal security, attractive fiscal incentives, and institutional safety, among others.

All the work developed by the department is focused on market monitoring and dialogue with companies seeking solutions and planning to explore opportunities to expand their projects.

New Factory Will Be Built in an Industrial Area of 150 Thousand Square Meters

According to Ronaldo Roque Campo, General Director of the RDG Group, the company currently serves a large part of the country and with the new factory generating hundreds of new jobs, it will expand its operations in the market for screws and conduits. This will be PRD’s third unit, and the investment to start construction is R$ 260 million.

The industrial area will cover 54 thousand square meters and will be built on an area of 150 thousand square meters. The location of the unit favors the logistics of product distribution by the company.

The executive also states that the incentive policy of ES was a significant motivator to make the expansion project viable and will also impact job generation in the State.
