The New Factory of Full Gauge Controls Will Be Built in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul. New Jobs Will Be Created
Full Gauge Controls, a company that produces a varied line of digital instruments for industrial, commercial, and residential automation systems, announced that it will build a new factory in the city of Canoas, located in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. The project will receive investments of R$ 27 million, will have over 30,000 square meters of space, and will generate around 200 new jobs in the region. New Unit in the City of Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul
The electronics industry, which produces solutions for refrigeration, heating, air conditioning, and solar heating, already has a factory in the municipality of Canoas, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with 8,200 square meters, in addition to a pavilion at the Jorge Lanner Industrial Park, recently acquired and undergoing renovation.
With the new space in the Canoas Innovation Park, which will have over 30,000 square meters, the company expects to increase its annual production from one million pieces to four million, anticipating the creation of 200 new jobs at the new factory. Full Gauge currently employs over 300 people in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul.

Job Creation with the Construction of the Factory
The business plan of the automation company, which foresees the installation at PCI, is under review by the Managing Committee of the Municipal Development Fund of Canoas (Fumdecan). The expectation is that construction of the new factory will begin in the first half of 2022.
“Canoas is very strategic for the development of any company. Even if I didn’t live here, I would still feel attracted to invest in the city”, highlighted the co-founder of the industry, Antônio Gobbi. According to him, the company that will build a new factory has been growing significantly since 2020. In 2021, revenue until October was already higher than the entire previous year. There was a 24% growth in the domestic market and 66% growth in the external market compared to the same period last year. This year’s revenue is expected to exceed R$ 100 million.

PS Zamprogna, a company specializing in the development of processing services and sale of metallurgical products, aims to make a leap in the steel supply market for the industry. With an investment of R$ 10 million, the company based in Canoas is working on assembling a production line for longitudinal cuts in high-strength steels, called Slitter, with adjustments for infinite cuts. This type of material, which is intended for the production of machinery and heavy vehicles as well as civil and furniture construction, is currently not produced in Rio Grande do Sul.
The new equipment will allow the delivery of steel with cuts according to customer requirements. The estimate is that there is a demand for at least 4,000 tons of high-strength steel with longitudinal cuts every month, currently unmet in the State. To meet this market, PS Zamprogna projects a guarantee of at least 40% increase in its current production, with the creation of 25 jobs during the assembly phase of the new production line in the factory. Today, the company serves the light and heavy automotive industry.
