With an Investment of R$ 80 Million, Lightwall Brasil Boosts Construction with Precast Panels and Generates 80 Direct Jobs in Santa Catarina.
The municipality of Brusque, in the Itajaí Valley, Santa Catarina, is preparing to receive a new factory that promises to transform the construction sector in the country. Lightwall Brasil, a company specialized in the production of precast panels, is investing R$ 80 million in a facility that will utilize advanced technology to enable the assembly of houses up to 40 square meters in just 12 hours. The expectation is that the new industrial plant will be operational by 2025. The establishment of the factory also represents a significant boost for the local economy, creating 80 new direct jobs.
New Factory in SC Enables Fast and Sustainable Constructions
Lightwall Brasil’s proposal is innovative: to offer agile and sustainable solutions for the construction sector, with fast constructions using high thermal and acoustic efficiency prefabricated panels. Assembling houses in a few hours can be a solution for social housing, quick responses to natural disasters, and urban expansion projects.
The Brusque factory is part of the company’s national expansion plan, which envisions the establishment of 11 units by 2026. According to Lightwall’s management, the choice of Santa Catarina as the starting point is due to the favorable investment environment and the available logistics infrastructure in the state.

Santa Catarina Leads Industrial Growth in Brazil
The announcement of the new factory comes at a time when Santa Catarina stands out as the state with the highest industrial growth in Brazil in 2024. According to IBGE data from the Monthly Industrial Survey (PIM), the state’s industrial production saw an increase of 7.7% last year, surpassing other surveyed states.
The second position in the national ranking is held by Rio Grande do Norte (7.4%), followed by Ceará (6.9%). Pará (5.7%) and Mato Grosso (5.4%) also make up the five states with the highest growth in the sector. In the South region, Paraná showed a growth of 4.2%, while Rio Grande do Sul had an increase of 0.6%, below the national average of 3.1%.
State Government Encourages Expansion of the Construction Industry
The Secretary of State for Industry, Commerce and Services of Santa Catarina, Silvio Dreveck, celebrated Lightwall Brasil’s investment. “We have welcomed companies and encouraged investment in Santa Catarina. By bringing in more companies, we ensure increased production and competitiveness. Furthermore, job creation and income benefits the entire community,” he stated.
For the state government, the construction sector is strategic both for its ability to absorb labor and for the potential to increase housing supply through quick and efficient constructions.
New Factory Will Be a Model of Innovation for the Sector
The Lightwall unit in Brusque will be a reference in technology and productivity in the sector. With the production of modular panels, the company aims to reduce time and costs involved in traditional constructions, contributing to modernizing the real estate market.
The model adopted by the company includes not only the manufacturing of structural components but also the delivery of complete solutions, focusing on agility, waste reduction, and sustainability. This approach meets the growing demand for rapid house assembly in various regions of the country.
Lightwall Brasil’s Expansion Aims at Large-Scale Housing Solutions
The expansion plan of Lightwall Brasil until 2026 includes the construction of 11 factories in strategic states of Brazil. The idea is to swiftly address housing projects, commercial enterprises, and temporary solutions like emergency housing and schools.
With increasing urbanization and housing challenges faced by various cities, technologies that allow rapid constructions are gaining ground in the market. The adoption of industrialized methods, such as those from Lightwall, can help reduce housing deficits and speed up access to dignified housing.
