The new Gás do Povo voucher is released this Wednesday, June 10, 2026, following the rule that set the benefit payment always on the 10th of each month. The standardization of the calendar was announced by the federal government in May, according to Agência Brasil, and each released voucher remains valid until the 9th of the month following the new payment, giving the families covered now until July 9 to exchange the benefit for a full cylinder at the accredited reseller.
The June round is for smaller families. According to reports from the portals Seu Dinheiro and Meutudo, families with two or three people registered in the Cadastro Único receive on this date, a group entitled to four free refills per year, one every three months, and who had received the previous voucher in March. The Gás do Povo, which replaced the former Auxílio Gás, reaches 15 million families, about 50 million people, according to Agência Brasil, with most of the households served headed by women.

The entry criteria remain the same.
Families registered in the Cadastro Único with a monthly income per person of up to half the minimum wage are entitled to the benefit, with priority given to those receiving Bolsa Família, according to the official rules published by Caixa Econômica Federal, the program operator.
The consultation of the voucher status and the location of the accredited resellers can be done through the Meu Social app, without the need to go to the CRAS or Cadastro Único posts.
How to exchange the voucher for a full cylinder at the accredited reseller
The withdrawal is done directly at the participating reseller, identified with the Gás do Povo brand, and can only be carried out by the registered family head.
According to the federal government’s Transparency Portal, validation at the store occurs in two ways: with the Bolsa Família card with a chip or by providing the CPF of the responsible person on the Caixa Azulzinha machine, or on the Azulzinha Aproxima app of the reseller, with confirmation by code sent via SMS to the phone registered with the bank.
Step by step to use the June voucher:
Open the Meu Social app, check if your voucher has been released, and locate the nearest accredited reseller.
Go to the reseller bringing the empty gas cylinder for exchange; those who do not have the container need to purchase it, as the gratuity covers only the gas.
Present the Bolsa Família card with a chip or provide the CPF of the family head on the Azulzinha machine and confirm with the code received by SMS.
The exchange at the counter has no cost: the reseller can only charge the delivery fee if you request home delivery.
Use the voucher until July 9; after this date, it expires and the benefit of the cycle is not accumulated.
The alert against undue charges applies nationwide.
According to the official program guidelines reproduced by the Recife city hall, the benefit covers 100% of the 13 kg gas cylinder refill value, and the reseller is only authorized to charge in two situations: the purchase of an empty cylinder, when the family does not bring theirs for exchange, and the delivery fee, when the client opts for home delivery.
Charges beyond this can be reported through official channels, providing the name and address of the reseller.
A billion-dollar program that exchanged money for a cylinder in hand
The redesign is the heart of Gás do Povo: instead of transferring money, as the Gas Aid did, the government delivers the free refill directly at the reseller.
According to Agência Brasil, the substitution aims to ensure that the benefit is used for the gas itself, and the official goal is to enable about 65 million refills per year, in what the government describes as one of the largest clean cooking access initiatives in the world, reducing the use of wood and coal and the exposure of families to toxic smoke, according to Agência Gov.
The numbers from May give the dimension of the machine that turns every 10th.
In that cycle, according to the Ministry of Development and Social Assistance cited by Agência Brasil, credit was released for 2.71 million families, with an investment of R$ 288.66 million in a single month and the entry of about 345 thousand new families into the program, within the expansion that tripled the number of beneficiaries since March.
The free gas cylinder became a fixed date on the monthly calendar
With standardized payment every 10th, Gás do Povo becomes part of the routine for families in the Cadastro Único just like Bolsa Família has been for decades: set date, clear rules, and resale queue.
For households of two or three people receiving this Wednesday, the practical message is not to let the voucher expire on July 9th and to demand the exchange without any charge at the counter.
