Developed In China, the model was introduced in 2022 and is already available in Mexico, where it has always enjoyed great popularity. The Aveo, the new hatch from the automaker, has been positioning itself as the entry-level model of Chevrolet, below the well-known Onix.

Chinese technology enables a car to steer, brake, and change lanes by itself in cities, but still requires full human attention.
Mechanically, the car features a 1.5 naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, which delivers up to 98 horsepower and 14.5 kgfm of torque.
While performance may not impress, with a 0 to 100 km/h time of 12.1 seconds, fuel consumption is surprising. The Aveo achieves averages of 14.7 km/l in the city and 16.9 km/l on the highway, exemplary figures for the segment.
Interior And Updated Equipment For The Automotive Market
Inside, the Aveo is not a luxury piece, but it delivers what it promises. The finish is mostly hard plastic, but the design is pleasant and follows Chevrolet’s new visual identity.
As for the equipment, the car comes with power windows, integrated digital climate control with multimedia, and a multifunction steering wheel.
The model comes equipped with four airbags, traction and stability controls, as well as disc brakes with ABS in the front and drums in the rear. In terms of safety, it uses a simplified version of the Onix platform, which is considered safe and boasts five stars in Latin NCAP crash tests.
Prices And Competition
In Mexico, the Aveo is priced between 70,000 and 85,000 pesos, approximately R$ 5,000 less than a turbocharged Onix . In Brazil, it could be priced between R$ 80,000 and R$ 95,000, positioning itself as an excellent alternative to the naturally aspirated versions of the Onix.
The arrival of the Aveo can be seen as a masterstroke by Chevrolet, which has everything to attract customers from the more expensive versions of the Fiat Mobi and even the new Citroën C3.
So, get ready! The Aveo from Chevrolet promises to be a major player in our automotive market, entering with a bang and making quite a noise. The competition better watch out!
