“Good winds bring new investments to Bahia. After announcing the implementation of a solar project in the territory of Velho Chico, Essentia will build its first wind power complex, bringing development, jobs, and income to the people of Bahia, in a region with a predominantly agricultural vocation. In addition to the investments, the project will create more than 2,000 indirect jobs during the construction of the parks,” said João Leão, vice governor.
The civil works of the wind power complex started this month (January), and the signing of protocols is a crucial step for the feasibility of wind projects, according to the Director of Implementation, Gilberto Peixoto.

“The São Vitor wind complex will bring investments and job openings to the interior of Bahia, which is a region that lacks investment and development. Government support and incentives for companies to establish themselves, as well as the state’s productive chain in supporting this installation, are important. We hope to continue investing in Bahia and build new wind energy projects or other renewable energy sources in the future.”
