Expansion Starts in March 2026, Increases Frequencies between Congonhas, Confins, and Uberlândia, Includes Reinforcement from Guarulhos and Integrates Strategy to Increase Air Connectivity and Support Economic Dynamism
The air network in Minas Gerais will be expanded starting in March 2026 with new frequencies from Latam Airlines, increasing connections between São Paulo and strategic cities in the state, with a direct impact on mobility, the regional economy, and national integration.
The expansion includes new flights between São Paulo/Congonhas and Belo Horizonte/Confins, as well as the reinforcement of connections between São Paulo and Uberlândia, a productive hub of the Triângulo Mineiro, with tickets on sale as early as next week.
At São Paulo/Congonhas Airport, in the southern zone of the capital, Latam will add two Sunday flights on the Congonhas-Confins route, increasing the operation to 58 weekly flights between São Paulo and Belo Horizonte.

On the São Paulo/Congonhas and Uberlândia route, one more flight will be added on Sundays, totaling 13 weekly frequencies, expanding the offer to one of the main logistical and industrial centers in inland Minas Gerais.
Progressive Reinforcement Starting in June 2026
Starting in June 2026, the São Paulo/Guarulhos-Uberlândia route will have five new weekly frequencies, operating with 26 flights per week, significantly increasing the air capacity in the region.
According to the Government of Minas, the advancement results from the actions of the State Department of Economic Development and Invest Minas, which coordinate strategies to strengthen air connectivity and support regional development.
For the Director of Investment Attraction of Invest Minas, Ronaldo Barquette, the expansion accompanies the current economic scenario of the state. “Minas is experiencing a moment of strong economic dynamism,” he stated, highlighting industry, agribusiness, tourism, and services.
Impact on Attractiveness and New Destinations
The expansion reinforces the attractiveness of Minas Gerais for investments, events, leisure tourism, and business travel, offering more schedules, greater convenience, and better integration with the national and international network.
In addition to the new frequencies, Latam confirmed for 2026 the routes Belo Horizonte/Confins-Fortaleza and Brasília-Uberlândia, further expanding the state’s air reach and consolidating its strategic position in the country, even amid gradual adjustments in supply.
