Dubai Challenges Engineering With A Slim Skyscraper Designed To Have Only One Apartment Per Floor, Redefining Luxury And Innovation
The new skyscraper in Dubai, named Muraba Veil, is set to be a true architectural masterpiece, standing out not only for its impressive height of 380 meters but primarily for its unique structure that is ultrathin.
Designed by renowned RCR Arquitectes, a Pritzker Prize winner, the building will be innovative by having only one apartment per floor, with a width of 22.5 meters.
The design of the Muraba Veil is being developed in collaboration with engineering companies WSP and Arup. The inspiration for the project came from traditional Arab housing and will be enveloped in a mesh of stainless steel known as Mashrabiya, which will create a “veil” capable of protecting the interiors from Dubai’s intense sunlight, providing an elegant and functional look.

Exclusive Structure And Design In Dubai
The interior of the Muraba Veil will consist of 73 floors housing 131 luxury residences. Each apartment will occupy the full width of the tower, ensuring panoramic views of the Dubai skyline. Furthermore, residents will enjoy a harmonious integration between indoor and outdoor spaces, creating a unique sense of spaciousness.
The apartments will range from two to five bedrooms, with prices starting at AED 18,000,000 (approximately US$ 4.9 million). For such high values, residents will have access to a vast array of amenities, including a private restaurant, an art gallery, a private cinema, an amphitheater, and even an underground spa.

A New Architectural Approach
“Muraba Veil is our response to the unique landscape and culture of Dubai,” says Rafael Aranda, founder of RCR Arquitectes. “Our goal was to design a building that was in tune with its surroundings while challenging the limits of what a skyscraper can represent. The Veil stands out as an icon of a new architectural approach, reflecting both heritage and modernity.”
The ultrathin structure of the Muraba Veil is already attracting international attention, being compared to other iconic projects such as 11 West 57th Street in New York and the Pencil Tower Hotel. Although the project is in full development, the completion date has not yet been disclosed.

Innovation And Sustainability Of The Skyscraper
Another highlight of the Muraba Veil is its commitment to sustainability. The stainless steel mesh not only protects against heat but also allows for natural air circulation, reducing the need for artificial cooling systems and promoting an eco-efficient approach.
This unique skyscraper in Dubai reaffirms the global trend of creating buildings that combine technology, design, and sustainability, reflecting a modern vision that respects cultural traditions. The Muraba Veil will certainly establish itself as a landmark in the architectural landscape of Dubai, offering a unique and exclusive experience for its future residents.
