Will it be the new darling of Brazilians in 2024? Don't miss the launch that promises to revolutionize SUV sales in the country!

The Brazilian SUV market is about to be shaken up by a true revolution.

The Toyota Yaris Cross is ready to compete for segment leadership with the T-Cross and other big names like the Hyundai Creta and Jeep Renegade.

With a launch expected for the first quarter of 2024, the new model from the Japanese brand promises to win the hearts of Brazilian consumers, offering a combination of attractive design, efficient engine and a competitive price.

The first images leaked by the profile @placaverde on Instagram they show the camouflaged SUV, but they already indicate the lines of a modern and sophisticated model.

The Yaris Cross, which will be manufactured in Brazil, will have many similarities with the Chilean version, but with some adaptations for the local public.

The expectation is that the SUV will have versions with flex and hybrid flex engines, bringing an innovative proposal to the compact SUV market.

Powertrain and performance: hybrid power and efficiency

The Yaris Cross will be offered with two engine options. The flex version will feature the 1.5 engine, already known from the Yaris family, which was also used in the Etios.

The 2NR-VBE engine, which will be present in the national model, will offer 106 hp of power and 14,4 kgfm of torque with gasoline, and 111 hp and 15 kgfm with ethanol.

This engine, developed by Daihatsu, a subsidiary of Toyota, stands out for its durability and efficiency.

The specific calibration for Brazil has not yet been completely defined, but expectations are high regarding performance and fuel economy.

In addition to the flex engine, the Yaris Cross will also have a hybrid version.

The hybrid version will come equipped with a 2NR-VBEX engine, which will generate 91 hp of power and 12,3 kgfm of torque using gasoline. When fueled with ethanol, the engine can reach 95 hp.

This engine will be combined with an electric motor of 80 hp and 14,4 kgfm of torque, which results in a combined power of 113 hp when the vehicle is fueled with ethanol.

This puts the Yaris Cross Hybrid in a higher performance category than many direct competitors, which do not offer this combination of power and efficiency.

CVT transmission and autonomy: smooth and efficient performance

The CVT automatic transmission will be available in flex versions, which provides a smoother ride and superior fuel efficiency.

In hybrid versions, the Yaris Cross will be equipped with a transaxle gearbox, which is also used in the Corolla Cross hybrid.

This transmission is designed to maximize engine performance and improve fuel economy, offering more precise and comfortable driving.

In terms of autonomy, the Yaris Cross hybrid has 0,7 kWh lithium-ion batteries, which, despite being smaller than those of more sophisticated models such as the Corolla Cross, provide quite satisfactory autonomy.

Although the battery capacity is smaller, it is more efficient, allowing the Yaris Cross to travel significant distances in electric mode, which is a feature that will appeal to drivers looking for a more sustainable and economical SUV.

Design: a look that captivates at first sight

As far as design goes, The Yaris Cross was designed with inspiration from the RAV4, one of Toyota's most successful SUVs.

The external lines are modern and elegant, with details that will please an audience looking for a robust but sophisticated look.

Toyota promises an SUV that will stand out on the streets, with a strong and imposing visual identity.

The interior of the Yaris Cross also leaves nothing to be desired.

With a finish reminiscent of the Corolla Cross, the SUV offers a modern feel, with high-quality materials and cutting-edge technologies.

The digital panel, intuitive multimedia center and connectivity features will be some of the model's attractions, which promises to deliver a more interactive and comfortable driving experience for its occupants.

Price and competition: will the Yaris Cross be the SUV of the moment?

The price of the Yaris Cross is expected to start at R $ 130 thousand, putting it in the price range of the most popular compact SUVs in Brazil, such as the Hyundai creta.

Despite being in the same price range as other models, the Yaris Cross stands out for its hybrid engine and build quality., offering a proposal that mixes the best of both worlds: performance and sustainability.

In terms of competition, the Yaris Cross arrives to compete for space with heavy SUVs in the Brazilian market, such as the Volkswagen T-Cross, the Jeep Renegade and the Hyundai Creta.

With the appeal of the Toyota brand and its tradition of delivering quality cars, the Yaris Cross has everything it needs to become one of the best-selling models of 2024.

Will he be able to overcome the market favorites and win the hearts of Brazilians?

With a modern design, hybrid engine and an affordable price range, the Yaris Cross promises to be a huge success.

The future of the Yaris Cross in Brazil

The Toyota Yaris Cross is, without a doubt, one of the Japanese brand's biggest bets on the Brazilian market.

With flex and hybrid engines, a bold design and advanced technologies, the model has everything it needs to stand out in the compact SUV segment in 2024.

Will it be able to challenge the market-leading models and win over Brazilians? With its competitive price and superior performance, the Yaris Cross is a model that deserves attention.

It doesn't fall behind, the Cross has a very good engine, is comfortable and offers value for money. The Ayres Cross was already expensive, even though it was electric.

It turns out that Toyota talks and talks and where is the website for the car that never appears? I'm starting to suspect that something is wrong.

Popular is not because a car that costs from 130 thousand is not popular at all!

If you want to compete with other compact vehicles, you will also have to have the Iaris Croos with an affordable price for the PCD public.

We are already approaching the end of 2024, but I still haven't seen this car in Toyota dealerships. Where can I find one?

How can an article from 10/12/24 say that the car will arrive in the first quarter of 2024 if we are already in the last days of the year... either he got the year wrong or this was written in 2023...
