The Federal Institute of Paraíba (IFPB) announced the opening of the selection process for free online courses (EAD) through the Open University of Brazil (UAB) program. The announcement number 15/2025 offers 520 spots distributed among the Cabedelo Centro and João Pessoa campuses, with in-person support centers in various locations. This is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to advance in their academic training with study flexibility.

The free online courses (EAD) offered by the Federal Institute-IFPB aim to primarily train professionals in the education field, promoting theoretical and practical knowledge through in-person and distance activities. The total workload includes weekly classes at support centers, assessments, seminars, supervised internships, and extension activities. Students must complete at least 50% of the total course workload in person.

Available Spots and Offer Locations

The announcement provides 520 spots for free undergraduate courses in the online (EAD) mode. The teaching centers are located in the municipalities of Campina Grande, Conde, Cuité de Mamanguape, João Pessoa, Lucena, and Mari for the Cabedelo Centro Campus, and Alagoa Grande, Araruna, Duas Estradas, Lucena, Mari, and Pombal for the João Pessoa Campus.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted based on candidates’ performance in the National High School Exam (ENEM). Scores from the editions of 2015 to 2024 will be considered, and the ranking will follow the final average obtained. Additionally, the announcement provides for reserved spots for affirmative actions, benefiting candidates from public schools, people with disabilities, quilombolas, and self-declared black, brown, and indigenous individuals.

Requirements for Enrollment

To participate in the selection process for undergraduate studies, candidates must have completed high school and have taken at least one edition of the ENEM between 2015 and 2024. Applications are free and must be made online, requiring only a valid CPF and an active email for registration. It will not be necessary to attach documents at the time of registration.
