With a New Look, Renovated Interior, and Suspension Improvements, Chevrolet’s SUV Arrives in Five Versions at the Same Prices as the Previous Model, But Retains the Drum Brake at the Rear.
The new Chevrolet Tracker 2026 will be offered in five versions, with the novelty of an extended warranty for five years. GM’s strategy was to keep the same prices as the previous line, making the updates an extra attraction for the consumer. However, some features, such as the rear brake system, remained unchanged.
According to the official launch presentation, Chevrolet revealed the 2026 line of the Tracker, which hits the market with a mid-life renewal. The SUV, one of the best-selling in the category, received important updates in design and interior, in addition to improvements in drivability, aiming to align with the brand’s global DNA.
The New Global DNA of Chevrolet SUVs
The main change in the new Chevrolet Tracker 2026 is in the front design. The SUV adopts the new global DNA of the brand, featuring a split lighting setup. At the top, the daytime running lights (DRL) in LED have gained a thinner and more elegant profile. At the bottom, the main optical assembly, also in LED, has been redesigned with elongated lines.

Peugeot publicly acknowledged the errors of the PureTech engine, which caused serious failures in hundreds of thousands of cars, and introduced the new Turbo 100 as a definitive solution, a 1.2 turbo tested for over 3 million kilometers that replaces the faulty belt with a more durable chain.
According to Chevrolet, this new layout enhances the perception of width of the vehicle, giving it a more robust and imposing appearance. The facelift also includes new color options and new alloy wheels, with designs specific to each version. The rear, however, does not feature visual changes.
Renovated Interior and More Comfort

Inside, the new Chevrolet Tracker 2026 received significant improvements. The main novelty is the adoption of Chevrolet’s virtual cockpit system, with a set of high-definition screens that integrate the instrument panel and multimedia center.
The finish has also been improved, with the use of soft-touch materials on the dashboard. Chevrolet claims to have paid special attention to comfort by using foams of varying densities in the seats to enhance ergonomics. The company promises a perceived improvement in comfort of about 20% compared to the previous model.
Improvements in Drivability: What Changed in Suspension and Steering?

The driving experience has also been improved. The new Chevrolet Tracker 2026 received a new set of tires designed to provide better grip and lower rolling noise, contributing to greater acoustic comfort in the cabin.
The progressive electric steering has been recalibrated to be lighter during maneuvers and firmer at high speeds, increasing the sense of safety. The suspension also underwent new calibration, aimed at better absorbing road irregularities, an important characteristic for the conditions of Brazilian streets and roads.
Versions and Prices
The new Chevrolet Tracker 2026 arrives at dealerships in five versions: AT, LT, LTZ, Premiere, and the sporty RS. One of the big news announced at the launch was the maintenance of the price list of the previous model.
The suggested prices are:
- Tracker 1.0 Turbo AT: R$ 138.040
- Tracker LT 1.0 Turbo AT: R$ 142.540
- Tracker LTZ 1.0 Turbo AT: R$ 146.690
- Tracker Premiere 1.2 Turbo AT: R$ 166.780
- Tracker RS 1.2 Turbo AT: R$ 169.690
Another major attraction is the 5-year warranty, a novelty for the model, following what has already been done with the Onix line.
What Did Not Change?
Despite the various evolutions, one point that stands out is the maintenance of the rear brake system. The new Chevrolet Tracker 2026 continues to use drum brakes at the rear in all its versions, including the top-of-the-line RS with a 1.2 turbo engine. The decision not to adopt disc brakes on the rear axle, an item present in some of its direct competitors, remains a characteristic of the design.
