New Citroën C3 Electric Will Be Launched Soon and Should Cost a Price Considered Much More Affordable Than Its Main Competitors
The new Citroën C3 Electric will be a highly competitive model in the market and will have a price considered “Popular” when compared to other manufactured models. Recently, CEO Carlos Tavares confirmed that the C3 will, in fact, soon be available in a fully electric variant.
Citroen e-C3 is the name that is expected to be given to the innovative zero-emission version of the compact, which will enter the market as the most affordable electric vehicle produced by the French automobile manufacturer.
The model is being developed at the technological center in Chennai, India. Although India is the first market to receive this innovation, it will eventually reach Europe and other regions of the planet.

If we consider the global situation, the French company is already working hard on the next version of the C3, which has the potential to run solely on electric power and will have its design inspired by the idea of Oli.
At the Paris Motor Show, Citroën’s marketing director, Laurent Berria, made it clear that the company is investing heavily in developing the next generation of compact cars, aimed at “making electric mobility accessible.”
The company is also working on a model aimed at the European market, and there is a possibility that this next generation will be available only in an electric variant when it goes on sale. In Europe, it is possible for two different electric C3s to coexist, one with a more traditional idea and the other more contemporary.
The Electric Model of the C3, Being Manufactured in India, Will Be Unveiled to the Public in a Few Months
The Citroën e-C3 will be available on the market at a more affordable price compared to the prices of other electric cars associated with the automaker, such as the Peugeot e-208, Fiat 500e, and Opel Corsa-e.
Although specifications have not yet been disclosed, everything indicates that the model will be available with a single electric motor configuration and several battery options.
It is expected that the base models will be equipped with a power of 30.2 kWh, powering an electric motor with approximately 86 horsepower. It is worth noting that these figures are much lower than the 136 horsepower and 50 kWh capacity provided by the standard electric setup of other vehicles.
The price of the e-C3 will be 12 thousand euros, or 68 thousand reais, this information has become public knowledge in India in recent days. If true, this price will put it in direct competition with the more affordable models sold in the country.
If it comes to Brazil, obviously, the electric vehicle will cost more than 68 thousand reais; however, it should still have a price much lower than the cheapest models associated with the French automaker that are sold here. The models currently sold vary from R$ 220,000 to R$ 250,000.
